Serena Bocchino
New York City galleries began showing Bocchino’s work in 1985. Since then, international galleries and museums, including Exhibit A in New York, ArtHaus in San Francisco, Princeton University and Studio Bocchi in Rome and Galerie du Tableau in Marseilles have featured her work in solo and group exhibitions. Bocchino’s abstract paintings and drawings translate the compositional, spontaneous and rhythmic qualities of music into a two dimensional form. Extraordinary reviews of her work in The New York Times have described her work as irreproachably elegant. Most recently, a film, titled Observer Highway Revisited - New Work by Serena Bocchino, was named outstanding short film at the International Film Festival, Museum of Modern Art, New York City. Bocchino’s work is included in more than 40 Corporate and Public Collections.
