Chris Schiavo
After interning for the likes of William Wegman, Laurie Anderson and Hans Namuth, New York artist Chris Schiavo found herself right back in her own backyard. There she created, staged and photographed more than 30 tableaux images also known as The Backyard. Works from this outstanding series have been shown widely in galleries and museums, and have been acquired for the permanent collections of MOMA and The Metropolitan Museums in New York City. Other represented works include Rivet Woman, White Series and Little Dresses.
