Suzanne Benton
A Native New Yorker, Suzanne Benton continues to travel throughout the world drawing upon the cultural matrix for the subject matter of her work. Known primarily as a metal sculptor, (her book - The Art of Welded Sculpture is the definitive work on the subject). The artist has expanded her work over the years to include a unique style of mono-printmaking, and most recently has returned to painting. Benton continues to exhibit and share her work in seventeen countries East and West. Spirit of Hope - a retrospective exhibition spanning forty years of the artist’s work was recently on view at The Silvermine Arts Center. The artist and her work continue to be the subject of more than 400 news, reviews and feature articles.
